Terms of Service
Last updated: November 2024
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ease Pay ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Ease Pay is a payment facilitation service that enables merchants to accept USDC payments on the Base blockchain.
2. Description of Service
Ease Pay provides:
- Payment link and QR code generation for merchants
- Integration with Coinbase Onramp for fiat-to-crypto conversion
- Integration with Coinbase Offramp for crypto-to-fiat conversion
- USDC payment processing on the Base blockchain
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use this Service. By using Ease Pay, you represent that you meet these requirements and that your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
4. Wallet and Payments
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your wallet and private keys
- All transactions made through your connected wallet
- Ensuring you send payments to the correct addresses
- Understanding that blockchain transactions are irreversible
Ease Pay does not custody your funds. Payments are sent directly between wallets on the Base blockchain.
5. Fees and Limits
Ease Pay charges a fee of 1-2% per transaction. This fee is deducted from the payment amount before settlement to the merchant's wallet. Additional fees may apply from third-party services such as Coinbase Onramp/Offramp and blockchain gas fees.
Transaction Limits:
- Maximum per transaction: $10,000
- Daily limit per wallet: $5,000
- Weekly limit per wallet: $20,000
These limits are in place for compliance and fraud prevention. Contact us if you require higher limits.
6. No Chargebacks
USDC transactions on the blockchain are final and irreversible. Unlike credit card payments, there is no chargeback mechanism. Merchants are responsible for their own refund policies and customer dispute resolution.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Ease Pay for:
- Illegal activities or transactions
- Money laundering or terrorist financing
- Fraud or deceptive practices
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Circumventing sanctions or export controls
- Person-to-person money transfers or remittances
Ease Pay is designed exclusively for merchant-to-customer (C2B) payment acceptance. We reserve the right to terminate accounts used for prohibited purposes.
8. Compliance and Screening
To maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, Ease Pay may:
- Screen wallet addresses against sanctions lists and risk databases
- Monitor transaction patterns for suspicious activity
- Enforce velocity limits on transaction volume
- Block or delay transactions flagged as high-risk
- Report suspicious activity to relevant authorities as required by law
9. Third-Party Services
Ease Pay integrates with third-party services including Coinbase and various wallet providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party services.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. CRYPTOCURRENCY VALUES CAN FLUCTUATE, THOUGH USDC IS DESIGNED TO MAINTAIN A 1:1 PEG WITH USD.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EASE PAY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR CRYPTOCURRENCY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
